Holmes began her real estate career in December 2001 as a buyer agent for a local listing
mill. Prior to moving to Asheville in 1998, Jennifer was an editorial manager for a large
Michigan company and, before that, a journalist and magazine writer for the
Pulitzer-winning Detroit Free Press. In
real estate as in her other endeavors, Jennifer charged out of the starting gate and
quickly distinguished herself as a performer. In her first year, exclusively as a buyer
agent, she logged in $3.5 million in sales, quickly establishing her position in the upper
echelon of Asheville-area real estate agents.
Soon Jennifer began
listing and selling fine homes for clients who recognized her business acumen and
appreciated her flair for marketing and subtle negotiating skills.
She is an avid sports fans. In
Michigan, she recruited and captained a women’s 3.5 tennis team that
won the local, state and Midwest championship and competed in the
1985 national finals at Las Vegas. As a junior, she
placed fourth in the national finals of hunter seat horsemanship at Madison Square Garden,
a jumping competition for young equestrians. She has a B.S. degree from the University of Colorado
at Boulder.
